When the line is answered
Dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. Posts run overnight, so the line has to.
Office hours for quoting, site walks, contracts and certificates of insurance are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Eastern. A call outside those hours still reaches a person at dispatch, and a supervisor follows up when the office opens. Written questions come through the form, which routes to the same people.
What to have ready when you call
Five pieces of information let us give you something useful on the first call rather than a call back. Where the job is. What phase it is in and how long the schedule runs. What is on the ground: equipment, fuel, copper, staged material, finish packages. How many ways there are onto the property and what the fence looks like. Which hours nobody from the project is there.
If something has already happened, bring the dates and what went missing. The pattern of when losses land on your site does more to shape a coverage plan than anything else you can tell us.
Site walks come before a quote
On construction work a supervisor walks the site with your superintendent before we price anything, and on most jobs that walk happens after dark. A job site at 9pm shows you the lighting gaps, the fence weak points, the street sight lines and the gates that get propped, none of which are visible at noon.
The walk produces a written read on your exposure, including the parts that cost you nothing from us: what belongs in hardened storage, which deliveries are landing too early, and where the lighting fails. Coverage gets quoted against what is left after those.
Where we cover
Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake counties are the core service area, worked out of the Lawton Road office. Inside the metro that includes downtown Orlando and the Mills district, College Park, Winter Park, Maitland, Lake Nona and Medical City, the tourism corridor and International Drive, the UCF and Research Park corridor, Horizon West, Winter Garden, Ocoee, Apopka, Altamonte Springs, Sanford, Kissimmee, St. Cloud and Clermont.
A Florida Class B agency license is valid statewide, so projects beyond the metro are workable. Patrol contracts are the exception worth discussing up front, because drive time between sites is officer time and it lands in your rate. Ask what we already cover near your project.
Office address
Nexus Security Firm, 3203 Lawton Rd, Orlando, FL 32803. Mail and contract documents go there.
The office is for quoting, contracts, insurance certificates and license verification rather than for walk-in inquiries about a job site, so call before coming by. Operations happen on your site.
Verifying the license before you call anybody
Nexus Security Firm holds FDACS Class B agency license B 1900066 under Chapter 493 of the Florida Statutes. Status and expiration for the agency and for any individual officer come back from the FDACS Division of Licensing public license search.
Officers hold their own numbers: Class D for unarmed work, backed by 40 hours of FDACS-approved training on a two year term, and Class G for armed posts with four hours of firearms requalification each year. We give you the officer numbers for your post before the first shift, and it is a reasonable thing to ask of any company bidding on your project.
